Casual Riggers

Are you a seasoned Rigger looking for a different experience? Is safety your number one priority? This may be your next exciting role! We are currently seeking experienced Riggers to join our Technical Team. 

As a Rigger at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre, you will work within a close knit team to install and remove load bearing lifting points in our Main Arena, Sports Centre and function areas. You will also install and remove large curtains for creating different modes in the Main Arena and Sports Centre. You will ensure the rigging equipment is inspected and safe prior to use and is used responsibly, you will report any defective equipment to your supervisor.

To succeed, you will have extensive experience within the rigging industry (preferably concert and entertainment rigging), be well versed in all rigging and safety equipment and be proactive across all areas of workplace health and safety. To be considered, you must hold a current intermediate riggers ticket, general site induction, working at heights certification and be knowledgeable of a wide variety of rope usage. Current elevating work platform and forklift licences would be advantageous along with any prior knowledge of Rescue training or Exercise.

Casual Court Supervisors

We are currently searching for vibrant and energetic Casual Court Supervisors to join our Sports Centre team. Our Sports Centre forms an integral part of the Brisbane Entertainment Centre. Seating up to 2000 patrons, the Sports Centre is utilised for both local community recreation and large scale competition events. 

As a Court Supervisor, you will actively promote a clean and safe environment for all users of the facility, preparing the equipment for use each day. You will provide assistance to all hirers and patrons and work collaboratively with all on site First Aid personnel to ensure injuries are reported and managed appropriately.

Your keen interest in sport and recreation combined with your ability to promote a safe working environment, outstanding customer service skills and capability to work autonomously and use your initiative will see you succeed in this role. You must hold a current First Aid Certificate and Working with Children card (Blue card), or have the ability to promptly obtain one.
